A big buildup of water can weaken the foundations and cause them to crack and soil from underneath the foundations can be washed away, which causes problems that are not always apparent until months later. After a storm, always check the outside walls for any signs of cracking or bulging. Inside the house, check for doors that stick or floors that feel uneven. If you find something that doesn’t seem right, get it checked by a professional just in case.
