If you have kids you know summer is coming up and CAMP is something we all need to be thinking about it. I found this awesome camp that is armed with an innovation process inspired by the Stanford d. school Galileo instructors facilitate campers’ hands-on exploration of science, art and outdoor activities. Behind every activity, an idea. And a mindset—visionary, courageous, collaborative, determined, reflective. That sounds like FUN, right!
ART, SCIENCE AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES FOR BUDDING INNOVATORS- Pre-K to 5th Grade
Kids are naturally curious and creative. They’re into everything. But with time, some of that natural spirit of exploration can get sucked out of them. Gradually, a fear of mistakes and their consequences can start to grow.
CAMP GALILEO IS A PLACE WHERE FEAR GOES ON HOLIDAY. In its place grows a spirit of exploration and innovation. Every year, Galileo sees the experience fire campers’ imaginations and literally change their way of relating to learning.
• Nebulas: pre-K to K
• Stars: 1st and 2nd graders
• Supernovas: 3rd to 5th graders

INCUBATOR FOR EMERGING VISIONARIES- 5th to 8th grade
When kids get to around 5th grade, something happens. Suddenly, they’re ready to pick a passion and go deep exploring it. That’s where Galileo goes deep, too.
Galileo Summer Quest gives burgeoning visionaries the opportunity to take the next step. They continue to leverage our Stanford- innovation process, but in place of weekly themes we introduce weekly majors.
Inspired by expert instructors – many of them professionals in their fields – campers realize their personal vision in one or more of 17 majors. Each week is an opportunity to try something new, or go deeper in a major they already love.
